In a world first, UNCLE TOBYS Oats is opening the UNCLE TOBYS Oats Energy Exchange Café in Chippendale at the end of August, where customers can swap the steps they’ve taken for oat filled menu items.

Set to be launched on the day by energetic wellness expert and TV personality, Tim Robards, the experience will offer customers the opportunity to pay for delicious, oat and energy-filled meals with payment being the steps they have taken.

Anyone who visits the UNCLE TOBYS Oats Energy Exchange Café and shows their accumulated step count from the previous day or the day of, via their smartphones or step trackers, or signs an ‘energy pledge’ for the steps they intend to do, can select items from the menu. The menu items costing between 3,000 – 10,000 steps also come with a free coffee:

– Oat Energy Balls
– Oaty Banana Bread
– Avocado on Oat Toast
– Creamy Porridge with Mixed Berries
– Mixed Berry Hotcake
– Fruity Oat Bircher
– Savoury Turmeric Porridge with Poached Egg & Kale
– Blue Majik Smoothie Bowl

Aussies collectively take an average of 115 trillion steps per day doing everyday activities[1], all of which require a natural source of energy to stay properly fuelled. Whether it be taking the stairs rather than the elevator, opting to walk over driving the car or getting stuck into household chores, these activities require just as much fuel and energy as high intensity pursuits.
