Join Chef Tiw Rakarin and the team from Handpicked wines for a delectable, and educational evening of fine Indochine food and beautiful Australian wines.

Mekong is known for it’s Indochine cuisine which not only crosses the provinces of the Mekong River, but also traditional cooking concepts. Chef Tiw draws inspiration from wherever inspires him, which allows the creative freedom to bring you flavour combinations that challenge the norm. He doesn’t focus on what a dish should be, but what it could be. In this special one-off menu his dishes explore the flavours of Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Burma, and Laos. But what makes it unique is the influence you’ll see from European cooking (particularly Norwegian, Italian & French), though the flavours and the techniques.

And for the wine… Handpicked is an award-winning winery that produces from Australia’s premium growing regions including Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. With dedicated winemakers based at their flagship vineyard in the Mornington Peninsula, and a passionate team at their Chippendale Cellar Door, they aim to produce wines that are expressive of their region (just like Mekong with it’s food). Their delicate and balanced style of wines compliment the spices and aromas of this menu perfectly.
