We find ourselves drifting towards the tail-end of the calendar year. At this juncture, we realise how much we have to look forward to as the winter months wane. As we near September, we have Father’s Day approaching and BEAMS Arts Festival lingering around the corner. Fresh function spaces for sit-down meetings, cocktail parties and anything in-between have opened up, as has our new handcrafted shoe boutique, Extraordinary Ordinary Day.

Spring into Chippendale and wander down Kensington Street, won’t you?

Extraordinary Ordinary Day, Ecstasy Metallic Cobalt Loafer Shoes

Extraordinary Ordinary Day, an emerging boutique label specialising in handcrafted shoes, is delighted to announce the opening of its first retail store in one of Kensington Street’s quaint historic terrace houses.

EOD owes its considerable success to its Creative Director Ashley Lim’s ability to differentiate her offerings from the existing market. "As a business woman, I have no time to waste on uncomfortable shoes, and I also want to be presentable and fashion-forward," says Lim.

MEKONG REVIEW BY EXCUSE ME WAITER

"We started our food journey up the Mekong with some of their charmingly named "little jetties" a.k.a. small bites. We loved their Little Prawn, with softer than usual school prawns which were fried to perfection in an addictive blend of onion, shallot, coriander and chilli, paired with a tangy lime mayo. Their Little Fish was also very tasty, featuring Thai style crispy anchovies that were doused in a zesty mix of lime, lemongrass and chilli which got our appetites going..." Read More
