A feast for the senses is brewing on Kensington Street as we continue to prepare for Good Food Month. In just a week, on Tuesday 25 October members of the public are invited to join us for a delightfully indulgent evening of food, music and art.
Our talented chefs are cooking up opulent feasts, with each component inspired by one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Your dangerously delicious meal will be complemented by performances from some of Australia’s most innovative and cutting edge performance artists, who will be pirouetting their way down Kensington Street, and weaving through each restaurant serenading and entertaining diners in a truly unique multi-sensory, immersive dining experience.
The evening of indulgence will be complemented by the opening of an exhibition entitled 'Guilty Pleasures', where some of Australia’s acclaimed artists have explored the Seven Deadly Sins, as they relate to food, through the medium of painting.
Book now, for a sitting at 6.00pm or 8.30pm to secure your spot at this celebration of food, music, art and all things indulgent! Prices range from $38 to $75 per head.
Allow your passions to be ignited by some of Sydney’s most exciting musical acts, who have been inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins.
Let the hauntingly beautiful vocals of Elizabeth Ellis draw you into the intriguing spaces of Bar Chinois, as she is perched on the balcony. Be serenaded inside by Bridget Gamble's lust-worthy ukelele tunes, as you dine on envy-inducing, freshly shucked oysters, paired with indulgently naughty local wines and cheeses.
Meanwhile, at Mekong and KYO-TO, join a plethora of musical acts, including TJ Tanuvasa in an auditory exploration of pride and sloth, with a meticulously curated selection of acoustic soul covers, performed like you’ve never heard them before.
While you enjoy the sonorous stylings of our talented musicians, indulge your inner glutton at Mekong with crispy pork hock toasted with dark soy, served with tomato and eschallot salad, or embark on a culinary journey at KYO-TO with a seven course teriyaki feast, including sashimi box on dry ice and yakatori with yuzu and wasabi mayonnaise, each paired with a carefully selected sake.
BOOK NOW for what is sure to be a sold-out event!
Be sure to pay careful attention to the waitstaff at Bistrot Gavroche who may transform into thrilling ballroom dancers at any point throughout your opulent meal, which includes pork rillettes and French baguette as pride personified, as well as wonderfully greedy profiteroles with hot chocolate sauce.
Diners are encouraged to be similarly attentive in Spice House and the intimate mezzanine level of Lower Mekong, where diners can indulge feasts featuring a wrathful red chicken curry, and gluttonous crispy roasted pork belly, respectively, while contemporary dancers proudly glide through tables and make use of the mysterious nooks and crannies in these enchanting spaces.

Nick Stathopoulos - Resistance is Futile
What better way to whet your palate before your 8.30pm sitting than to visit the Old Rum Store, where we invite you to join us from 6pm onwards, alongside esteemed art collector and co-curator Pat Corrigan, for a glass of wine and to see the unveiling of original artworks by some of Australia’s most acclaimed and exciting artists.
